Today is an inside day, mother nature is playing her own April Fool's joke on us. Wind is extremely strong, blowing everything off the deck. I hear the weather channel is whispering the S word!
This morning I made muffins and cupcakes with my little helpers decorating the cupcakes with icing, sprinkles and mini eggs for Easter. And now as they play with lego and playdoh I had a chance to make another card.
I'll be sharing this card over at Merry Monday (color challenge lime green, turquoise and white), One Crazy Stamper (anything goes), Christmas Cards all year long (ornaments) and Christmas Card Challenges (anything goes).
I used a cut from Cricut Creative Holiday Cards to create this card. I used some Citron Heidi Swap Color Shine and a stampin up Star stencil to create the background layer and the top layer of the middle ornament. The two others are sprayed with Tropicana Teal Heidi Swap Color Shine. Once dried I assembled the card added some star dust stickles to the middle of the lime ornament and white opal liquid pearls to outline the ornaments and add tops and strings to hang them.
I'm pleased with the way this non traditional color scheme turned out for me. Definitely out of my comfort zone for Christmas cards.
