Flowers for mom

Do you ever seen a blog challenge and think to your self "I have the perfect stamp for that!" and then forget about it. Well that happened to me today. I was making a beautiful bouquet of lilies for my mum and went to create her card to go with it and then realized I was going to make this card for the card concept challenge. I went over to the blog and had 22 minutes to find the stamp, create the card and get the blog post done. On a normal day this could have been achieved but today is a sick day for my almost four year old. Sadly I missed the deadline by 5 minutes, never the less I'm sharing the card and flowers with you!

The Card Concept challenge:

My card: for this challenge I was inspired by the vase of flowers, I would say it's clean and layered.
Wanda Tensen's photo.

Supplies: Unity Stamps April 2014 kit of the month, cosmo cricket paper, copics, Mermaid lagoon distress ink, orange stickles

On Cricut DS one of the make it now projects was a 3d flower vase. I fell in love right away and have been thinking about it since... I planned on making three sets but after cutting it all out an realizing that it makes 18 Lilies I would need to do that many for my mothers day gifts. My mom is flying out to spend the week or two with me and my dad will drive out and pick her up. I wanted something light that she could take with her in the car. Here's what I came up with. I might do some searching for a vase SVG file to use instead of the glass vase.

I used a variety of Cosmo Cricket papers, Heidi Swapp and Tim Holtz sprays, stickles, candy sticks covered in green washi tape, dollar store rocks and a rectangle vase in my stash.

Thanks so stopping by and leaving a comment. I love visiting blogs so if you do leave a comment I will be sure to visit your blog.
