Sending this card to my friend who recently lost her grandmother. Her parents were able to travel to England days before to say there goodbyes. My friend was able to say her goodbye over the phone. I know how difficult that was for her to do so I just wanted to send a little card her way.

Supplies used: Cream card base, Laughing Lola design paper, corner rounder, Thistle cardstock and ink, heart embossing boarder, twine from $store, Close to my hearts stamp of the month (Paper Garden) and the sentiment is from Stampin Up Simply Sketched.

Also used this sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches 320.

Sassy Design Studio September Progressive Challenge

This mornings card is being entered for the Sassy Design Studio September Progressive Challenge and also for the sketch over at Tuesday Morning Sketches #319.

Supplies used: CTMH chalk it up Picture my Life cards, chalk it up puffie stickers, watercolor paint, Celebrate it ribbon from Michael's, and the copics and wink of stella brushes in the below photo.

Getting organizing for classes.

I'm currently taking classes from Alyce at Kit and Clowder. And also in the Create and Learn which is released ever month!

Doing these classes I was always grabbing the wrong folder and had paper all over my desk.

So here are my solutions:

Close to my heart Cheat Codes for Design Space

Good Morning,

I'm a currently getting organized! Today you will see a few projects that use the good old cinch machine and some vinyl projects. Hope they inspire a few people to organize as well.

Here's my first one.

I used my cinch and some white vinyl to create this handbook. It's my easy reference guide for using the CTMH cartridges in design space. Please see info below from The Non-Crafty Crafter and links to her blog posts.

Handbooks and Design Space Image codes

So, you know how difficult it is to find the images that make up each of the layouts in the CTMH Artbooking cartridge??? 

Say you want to create the projects on page 46 of the handbook. Here's what you see in the handbook:

In Cricut Craft Room, you can just go to that cartridge and go through each of the tabs for that layout to find all the pieces.

But because the images in Design Space aren't in any sort of order you have to scroll through all 585 images to find the ones you need. (Yes, I counted them!)

Then when you've found the first image you then have to scroll through all 585 images to find the next one! And repeat until you have all the images you need for that layout...

And we all know that because Design Space is cloud-based there's a lag when you scroll through the list. So you have to sit and wait for the next few lines of images to show up.

Hmmm, if only there was an easier way.....

What if the handbook had the Design Space code under each image? Like this maybe....

Then all you'd have to do is type the codes into the search box in Design Space to find those images!

So, that's exactly what I have done. I've taken the digital PDF handbook and added the codes for every image. 

(There's no codes for the numbers as you'll find them by using the Add Text option.)

You can even type more than one code in the search box at a time. Just place a space between each code. (Click the image below to enlarge.)

Remember, you must type the # and the M for each code.


Here you'll find links to the Cricut cartridge handbooks that have been edited to add the Design Space code for each image.

You'll also find some cartridge image code lists without their handbooks.

For those with handbooks here's a sample of what you will see:

To use the codes:

• Click the Insert Images button in Design Space 
• Make sure All Images is selected

• Insert the code that appears under the image into the search box and press Enter. You will then see a preview of the image. 

You can even put multiple image codes in the search box. Just put a space between each one.

Each image must start with #M

Reading book bag

As you know my girl is in Grade 1 this year. On her school supply list was a laptop bag from the dollar store. By the time I found one, all they had was plain boring old black ones. But that's ok because we all know we can just add some cute vinyl and have it personalized within minutes.

Complete! Added pink iron on vinyl using my newest cricut cartridge from Close to my Heart ~ Artistry. I love the font on this cartridge and just added two beautiful butterflies.

Make a project for a Kid 

Bunch of love

Hi everyone, if you have been following my blog you know that my daughter has been to a bunch of birthday parties lately and my stash is getting low. My goal is to have ten girl and ten boy cards for her to pick from.

Todays card is created using the digital stamp bunch of love from Ching-Chou Kuik. You can purchase it at her etsy store here.

The challenge this month on her facebook group is to create a CAS card. Clean and Simple. The monthly challenge on the blog is to use fall colors. I took a white card base added some coral shimmer tape and then die cut the image out with stitched rectangle dies. The inner piece is popped up with two layers of foam tape while the frame is flat. I colored girl with copics and using techniques that I'm learning in the class room for skin and hair and clothing over at Kit and Clowder.

Just Married

Today is the day that my hubby's long time friend Josh is getting married! I knew that this van would be the perfect image for the wedding card. Sadly I am home with a stomach bug while hubby gets to attend the wedding.

I'm entering this card for two challenges. Tuesday Morning Sketch and All Dressed up.

Supplies used: Just married digi stamp from All Dressed up, Stampin up print poetry dsp, Stitched rectangle dies, Copics: N2, N4, N8, B91, B93, B95, B97, R22, R24, R29, clear wink of stella, CTMH chevron ribbon, bubbly enamel shape on top of a random flower sprayed with dk blue dylsions. And the sketch below.

Quick bday card

As I flipped through my cards for a birthday party this afternoon I realized that I didn't have a card for a little girl. Lots of boy cards in my stash right now.

So off to my blog list I went and found this card sketch over at Retro Sketches which worked great and I will be doing up a few more of this style to fill in the gab in my stash.

Graduation T-shirt

Our little princess took a huge step into the education system yesterday. Her first day of grade 1! It went way better than her first day of kindergarten. I created this graduation t-shirt for her (and a blue one for bud bud) On the first day of every school year we will take a photo of them in their shirts and then I will do a collage page in their scrapbook one their grade 12 grad we can remember all these special days.

 

I used the varsity font and a grad cap that I found in design space.
