Birthday Wishes

This week Fantabulous Cricut challenge #22 is follow this sketch and my friend Sara has her very first post as a design team member. YAY! So to celebrate her new role I figured I better get over there and play along.  I typically use my cricut for mixed media and scrapbooking titles on pages. So is was a challenge for me to follow a layout with cricut instead of hauling out the stamps and ink.

For this card I used a kraft base, 6x6 paper pack from MME Blush, a small wooden heart embellishment, script embossing folder, Elegant Edges and Celebrate with Flourish Cricut Cartridges. Because I just couldn't leave it plain I also used Tim Holtz Frayed Burlap distress ink. Guess I lost my personal challenge of no ink...

    Fabulous card, Wanda! I love the elegant edge you used on the patterned paper and your card looks lovely even if you used some ink--don't beat yourself up over resorting to your comfort zone.
