Trim the tree

Christmas in July!

I am in full swing getting prepared for Christmas. I have a few projects on the go right now. Making advent calendars for each child, Christmas throw pillows, aprons for Grannie and Oma with kids handprints making a tree with star at top.

My goal all year is to work on Christmas cards and there's a great blog that's been helping me meet this goal. Merry Monday is having a month long challege for July to create Christmas cards. And since I just received a Christmas Cricut Cartridge called trim the tree I just had to play along. I've also entered this card over at Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Challenge. This will be my first of many post over there I'm sure.

I've used a base of real red and a pattern paper from Michael's. The focal point is a layer of real red, white and then glitter white and real red creating the candy cane and Santa. I love that the glitter is all contained, oe of my pet peeves is opening a card and getting glitter EVERYWHERE!

  1. I saw your lovely Christmas cards on Always playing with paper Merry Monday - you might also like to enter this into my CHNC challenge extra for July - I'd love to see it there too. x

  2. Thanks for entering my CHNC challenge extra for July – hope to see you again soon. Please add a link to my challenge within your blogpost - thanks x
