Christmas in July!
I am in full swing getting prepared for Christmas. I have a few projects on the go right now. Making advent calendars for each child, Christmas throw pillows, aprons for Grannie and Oma with kids handprints making a tree with star at top.
My goal all year is to work on Christmas cards and there's a great blog that's been helping me meet this goal. Merry Monday is having a month long challege for July to create Christmas cards. And since I just received a Christmas Cricut Cartridge called trim the tree I just had to play along. I've also entered this card over at Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Challenge. This will be my first of many post over there I'm sure.
I've used a base of real red and a pattern paper from Michael's. The focal point is a layer of real red, white and then glitter white and real red creating the candy cane and Santa. I love that the glitter is all contained, oe of my pet peeves is opening a card and getting glitter EVERYWHERE!

Fairy Tales Bell from C.C. Designs
Good Morning,
I finally had the chance to take a copic class to learn the skin and hair techniques. Chelsey at Personal Touch Scrapbooking is amazing. Pop over to her blog if you have a second to see the cards we created in class
I was so thrilled with the class and the secrets I learnt, I came home and started stamping and coloring. I have some Greeting Farm, La-La Land, Swalk and CC Designs all in my work in proccess folder. I can't wait to finish those cards up.
Todays card is using Bell from CC Designs out of the Fairy Tales line. I apologize for the terrible photo. I ended up snapping a quick photo with my phone before I mailed it to a friend. The sketch is from Tuesday Morning Sketches #208. I was able to use up some scraps from a retired Stampin up paper pack. Paper piecing the headband, outfit and boots. Copics used for skin: E000, E00, E11, R20 Copics used for hair E70, E74, E77.
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog.

Buzzing with good wishes
Buzzing with good wishes!
Bees have a special place in my heart. My father had bee hives with a friend years ago. I remember chewing on the sweet honey comb, oh the memories... ok back to the card. I am loving all the hexagon shapes available in the craft world. The embosing folder is Stampin Up, the stamp is CTMH, the papers, inks, ribbon and twine are a mixture from the two companies. And my new favorite is the die cuts that I snagged off of scrapbooksteals.com.

Queen for the day #171 and Dynamic Duos #60
Good Morning to all my crafty friends,
We are having a beautiful day, the sun is shining! We have a fun filled day with story time at the library, play date with great friends and then a sleep over at Oma & Opa's while I take a copic class. My four year old giggled when I told her I was going to a class to learn how to color. :)
Any ways I have a card to show you. Thats why your here right? ok here it is...
Faith has a great gallery and this is the card of her's that I choose to honor her time as Queen.
Thanks so much for taking a look and leaving a comment.

My inspiration for this card came from two sources. Dynamic Duos #60 (colors are Summer Starfruit and Gumball Green) and the Queen for the Day challenge.
