QFTD114-Dawn
Celebrating Dawn over at Splitcoast for the queen of the day challenge. I picked her card titles "you make my world happy" as my inspiration. It's been awhile since I picked up my copic markers and colored in an image. The stamp I used is from Mo Manning titled Jill is TWO. This reminds me so much of my little girl. I've tried numerous times to catch her pout on camera but am unable to capture that moment.
Products used: Yellow Stickles, SU cardstock, DSP Sassafras (nerdy bird, cheery), CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut, SU Jewels and CTMH itty bitty sparkles.
Copics used: V06, V09, BG05, BG07, RV13, RV14, Y38, C3, C5, E00, E21, R20, Y23, E31, E35, BG10, BG000

"Bird"day invitations
Our little munchkin is turning 3! Where or where did the time go??? She is currently into anything that flys! And also into painting. So we are planning a BIRD birthday party for her. We are going to have 9 little ones from the age of 4 to 8months over to paint bird houses, roll pine cones in peanut butter and bird seed and hopefully enjoy these activities outside in our back yard.
here's the invitation that I've made for the guest. I'm hoping to get party decorations in the same colors (purple, teal and bright pink) I'm also going to make thank you notes and a big birthday banner and cupcake toppers for the big day. (I will be post pictures in the near future)
For this invite I used my cuttle bug to emboss the teal (victoria embossing folder), art philosophy CTMH cricut cartridge and matching stamp for the "your invited" part, the bird punch from SU, gems, ribbon.

Father's Day
I'm getting a head start on Father's Day cards. My parents won't be around for this special day so I am mailing both Mother and Father cards to them today.
I used a few new items to me on this card. The stampset - Just my type, the embossing folder - stripes and the real red ribbon (in my stash but not used until today)

Father's Day Card - Grandpa S.
Fathers Day Card - this one is for Grandpa S. who lives 8 hours away. I haven't seen him since 2009 when our daughter was born. We are heading his way this summer and I can't wait for him to meet our newest addition to the family and to see how Tori has grown (we do keep in contact by phone and email) His card has no embellishments other than flat ribbon to make it easier to mail.
The colors are from the Splitcoast Color Challenge - pumpkin pie, wild wasabi and bashful blu e. I used soft sky blue with a bit of vanilla and frayed burlap (Tim Holtz Distress Ink) I used the tree embossing folder and some ribbon from my stash. Oh and the stamps, how could I forget those. The wording is from Verve Stamps - Worlds best and the car is from Close to My Heart workshop on the go - crusin'
